My cheerleading tryouts for high school are coming up soon, probably in
about four weeks. I’m in eighth grade and I’ve been really stressing lately
about them. Even though I cheered for seven years, including cheering for
the middle school cheerleading squad, I am still freaking out about these
tryouts! I have my standing top, my backhand spring, my roundoff layout,
and my roundoff tuck. I think it might be because the cheerleading coach,
the head coach, is very very strict and quite intimidating to me. She she
seems to like me because she doesn’t tell at me as much as some girls. Even
though I’m in eighth grade, she asked me to call cheers and demonstrate a
backhandspring on the off season tumbling. That’s good, right?? I’m really
hoping I don’t mess up.
I have never done cheerleading an want to start in high school I have been
stretching for at least 7 months do u know any specific stretches to help
get my legs higher in a toe touch?
i have tryouts tomorrow. Really, I’m not very good. I’m doing this because
I need to dedicate myself to something. I’m not very flexable, and I have a
little social anxiety. I know I need to smile and I need to be really
preppy and stuff, but I’m scared of what others will think and say about me
when I don’t get on the team.

for 4 years but 3 years ago in finals i fell doing my back tuck and hurt
myself pretty bad i havnt done any type of cheer, tumbling, or gymnastics
since and now im really really scared for try outs anyways how could i get
over my fear of doing anything
Been cheering for 3 years . The main important things that will help you
make the team are to SMILE , have sharpness , hit your motions tight , be
loud , some squads take tumbling serious , so id suggest to take tumbling
classes , & most importantly have energy and have fun in what your doing .
Do you have any tips for me on how to teach myself to do the back
handspring? Like any tips on how to get my legs to kick over?! Thanks ahead

already on the team but i need help with my cartwheel and splits..any
ideas??
