  19. I think she stuttered with her words a little bit, glucose is the chemical compound of energy. In other words, glucose is the actual food itself. You can't stay away from glucose because that would mean staying away from food entirely. I think she might have meant high-fructose corn syrup which is something that is found in almost all foods in our time. High-fructose corn syrup is filled with extra sugars that are no good for the body, just a little note so people won't get confused.
