OK, just when I thought Phil Jackson’s yellow “X” cap was the corniest
moment ever for a top-notch coach, this video of Pat Summit appears. You’re
off the hook, Phil.
That is by far the most asinine comment that I have read. Women’s
basketball has as much passion, intensity, heart and determination as the
men’s version of it and it’s not always about athleticism, but mostly on
pure effort. Pat Summitt is SO right up there with the Men’s b-ball greats.
More than 30 seasons, 960+ career victories, 7 titles and you’re to tell me
she can’t be the best of all time?? Just because she is a woman that
coaches women’s basketball? That’s really disrespectful.
She has led us again to the sec champ. !!!!! and she has dislocated her
sholder !!!! GO BIG ORANGE !!!!! ROCKY TOP YOU’LL ALWAYS BE HOME SWEET HOME
TO ME GOOD OLE ROCKY TOP ROCKY TOP TENNESSEE !!!!!
As a Bama fan, these transfers and quittings mean NOTHING. A good coach
pushes his/her players to the max. Bear Bryant took was known as a strict,
harsh, tough disciplinarian and a badass. I think Summitt is tough,
relentless and can squeeze every drop of potential out of already amazing
athletes. And she obvously loves the team. She is a class act, and
obviously acting 14 in this video, hat’s off to Coach Summitt, maybe
someday we’ll beat the Lady Vols (and i can win the lottery)
Man I love going here in basketball season. Maybe a select few schools can
challenge our dominance in men’s AND women’s basketball…but the spirit
and between the two teams makes Tennessee the place to be. Been a great
four years guys sorry I have to graduate :/

She came to my high school to see her son play and she’s really nice. The
funny thing is her son isn’t all that great at basketball
I’m a Michigan fan but have always admired Coach Summit and the awesome
loyalty and spirit she displays to her team and university.
