id hit him. theres a difference between telling her being a brat is wrong
and doing that to her. he literally does not have the right.
I’m not sure how I feel about coach Orby and Eddie anymore after this
episode, like their coaching style is commendable but man….. there needs
to be a line drawn between punishing and humiliating. It was slightly
uncomfortable watching Orby pick Maddie’s nose at 4:50, especially because
she was doing a such a deep stretch. I’m not sure how comfortable she is
doing that stretch, but I personally wouldn’t want someone to distract me
if I was doing the same thing. The smallest distractions could cause an
athlete to tense their muscles as a reflex and potentially hurt themselves.
I understand that they were “brats” (as described by their coaches multiple
times throughout the video) and a punishment is reasonable, but I’d rather
them do 100 burpee jumps than get their noses picked.
I hate Eddie after this episode!He was so mean to Maddie.He shold just tell
her what not to do not be mean and stuff…if I was Maddie I would leave
the team
I have one thing to say. People need to stop bashing other people’s
opinions on the coaching style here. Everyone will feel different and
everyone learns different. Harsh and mean coaching can benefit some
people….but it can also negatively impact some kids. Not all world
champion winners have mean coaches.
FOR EXAMPLE lets talk about stingrays orange (they have won worlds 8 years
in a row in all girl small medium AND large, which is 5 more wins than
smoed) The coaching staff at rays is serious but they are kind and caring
and dont yell like Eddie and or by
