I’d like to notice that “Relaxation” is the key word here. I’m almost 30
and took me 1 year to do the split. First it didn’t go well, I felt
pressure on my knees and pain in muscels, but then I realized that if you
try to relax with every breath, no matter how hard it seems at frist,
relaxing your muscles while stretching takes away most of the pain and then
you get it. Every time you breath out, relax muscles, rememer that and you
will progress MUCH faster.
Master Woo let me tell you this and I want you to know I mean it… you are
AWESOME. I like how you teach, those who are under your teaching are
privileged students.
How does your knee feel when u forget or don’t wear the brace? I think I
could use one for my right knee, but I’m afraid of getting dependant on it
and actually weakening it.
I’m 23, I just started trying to master the splits in the last 2 months or
so, it takes us a lot longer to manage it than it takes a child to learn to
do it since we’ve stressed our bodies more but it’s totally possible! He
just has to stick with it!
I think age does have a factor. The reason it’s taken me over two years is
because I have NOT been rigorous and regimented enough. I try and stretch
at least 4 times a week these days; I have to warm up carefully though.
This is perhaps where younger people find it easier. Also I can become
stiff and less flexible after only a few days so stretching everyday is the
key really.
Indeed doing this everyday is the key, been there done that, and it works.
Sometimes I feel lazy though and the laziness goes through weeks, even
months, and I lose my flexibility It’s not difficult to restore, just
need patience…
thank you for sharing your talent.you are way of flexibility.

Good use of the wall. Flexibility is vital in fight training or MMA
training.
